The ESU 1 Transition Program supports students with disabilities in preparing for life after high school by helping them set goals, develop a transition plan, and connect with services that promote independence and meaningful adult outcomes. Transition planning is a collaborative effort involving schools, families, community members, and agencies.

How to Access Services
Transition services are initiated through the student’s IEP team. Schools, families, or other team members may request support from the ESU 1 Transition Specialist. Contact Kayla Varley directly at kvarley@esu1.org for consultation or questions.

Educational Service Unit 1 has several Career & Life Skills kits, as well as Life Skills digital materials. These are available for teachers to check out and use with their students.
