The Early Development Network (EDN) provides coordinated services and support for children from birth to age 3 and their families. The program helps families understand their child’s disability, supports developmental needs, and connects them with appropriate services and community resources in a convenient and family-centered manner.
Services We Provide
- Individualized support for children with developmental delays or disabilities
- Service coordination to ensure smooth and timely delivery of services, family education, and assistance navigating available resources
- Connections to local advocacy groups and support services
- Evaluation and eligibility determination of developmental delays or disabilities
- Support for teachers and parents to help kids learn all the time, not just during special sessions
- Collaboration with school districts and early childhood professionals including Early Developmental Network (EDN) service coordinators, early childhood special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists (OT) and physical therapists (PT)
How to Access Services
For school-aged children, contact your local school and speak with a special education professional. For children not yet of school age, call ESU 1 at (402) 287-2061 or fill out the form linked below. ESU staff will guide families and districts through the referral and evaluation process.
