NeMTSS Integrated Support Specialist

Description
Through an Office of Special Education funded grant, Integrated Support Specialists will serve as members of Nebraska’s Multi-tiered System of Support (NeMTSS) team and are part of a regional team within the organization. The Integrated Support Specialists collaborate with educational leadership teams in a variety of settings (e.g., early childhood centers, districts, schools, and state and local agencies/organizations within the region), to support implementation of systems-level integrated PK-12 support to help establish and/or enhance a comprehensive array of educator and student supports.

Individuals in this position will serve as the NeMTSS connector, developing and implementing a more comprehensive approach to education and service delivery. Individuals in this position would connect regional providers, such as Early Learning Coordinators, ASD Network BCBAs, ESU Literacy Coaches, etc. with educational agencies needing their support. In partnership with the NeMTSS Regional Support Leads and Leadership Team, the Integrated Support Specialists will also provide support on-site and virtually to PK-12 educators to build local capacity.

Additionally, the role entails collaborating with leadership teams to identify and plan for the implementation of high-leverage practices to enhance PK-12 student development. The Integrated Support Specialists play a key role in promoting positive outcomes for Nebraska children, families, educators, districts, schools, and programs. Minimum Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in Education or related field plus five (5) years of experience working in a school district and/or working with PreK-12 educators. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of Nebraska school systems, experience with high-level decision making and experience implementing high-leverage instructional practices to enhance educational outcomes for students. They will have independent problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to use word-processing and presentation software, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, and ability to keep accurate records.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications
Doctoral degree or ED.S. in Education or related field. Preference will be given to those with strategic planning experience. Additional preferred qualifications include a strong background in literacy and/or positive behavioral supports, knowledge of inclusionary instructional practices, experience leading PK-12 educators in implementing high-leverage instructional practices, and experience and/or knowledge of adult learning or educational coaching. Additionally, experience delivering training/professional development to educators is preferred.

Salary Range
$64,000-$72,000

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM

Position Overview: 
ESU1 is currently seeking an organized, tech-savvy, qualified School Secretary who is passionate about supporting student success at Tower School in Wayne. This is a full-time, 10-month position offering competitive wages and benefits. Starting pay is $20/hour and may vary based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Liaison for the school lunch program, ensuring smooth operation and compliance
*  Monitor and verify staff timesheets and leave requests for accuracy
*  Track and maintain accurate records of student start and end dates, ensuring data consistency
*  Assist with general office tasks as needed to support the school’s day-to-day operations
