Speech/Language Department
What We Do
Our Speech & Language Department serves children from birth to age 21 in the areas of speech and language development.
What Services Are Offered, How are They Provided?
Services offered are consultative, assessment, direct intervention and in-services to staff.
Local school districts contact ESU #1 for services, which are provided by an assigned clinician at each district.
How to Make a Referral
If you have concerns about your child’s speech and language development, please call your local school district to request an evaluation. Depending on each school system, the contact person may be the special education director or school principal.
